The observation of Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas) on November 26, 2025 at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), East Khasi Hills followed the nationwide directive to reaffirm constitutional principles, aligning with the KVK's role as an outreach and educational institution under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The main event was the solemn reading of the Preamble to the Constitution of India at the national scheduled time, typically 11:00 AM with all KVK staff (Senior Scientists and Head, Scientists, Technical Staff and Administrative personnel) and trainees gathering to take the pledge collectively. To honour the framers, especially Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Tribute Ceremony was organized, which included a lecture highlighting his pivotal role as the Chairman of the Drafting Committee and his significant contribution to social and economic justice enshrined in the Constitution.
